Nature Play&Clay – Creative Garden project

Help is required to create an interactive garden for small children, families, teenagers, young people and adults, its creation is part of a community-run project. The Garden Project is run alongside an Arts Council-funded intergenerational three-stage ceramic course.  The garden needs to be inspiring and safe.

There are a range of tasks available. For example, annually cutting back the established live willow arch. Find out more about Nature Play&Clay and how you can be involved.

This garden project is suitable for someone with landscaping skills and enthusiasm for creative gardening.  This is a unique place to visit and to be inspired. Your contribution will really be appreciated!

Adult and Family Pottery Workshops

When the basket bowl project was born and I started working with families, I realised that I was able to inspire adults and children alike. Inspiring others to come along, get involved and be creative is rewarding. Come and help with this fun, intergenerational ceramic project funded by the Arts Council. This could be a great opportunity for you to:

  • Work alongside a professional ceramic artist
  • Learn about the clay process, for example, pugging clay.
  • Prepare the venue for the Ceramic Stove Creations sessions – eg preparing clay or tiles
  • Assist in the smooth running of each session
  • Gain practice as a first-aider (training or qualified) at an all-age venue
  • Assist in lunch, snack & refreshment preparations
  • Gain experience at an art workshop
  • Help build equipment and play areas for the interactive garden
  • Become involved in this or other future pottery projects and courses.
