Art Creations is run as a unique childminding service in a friendly relaxed home setting in Buckfastleigh, Devon.

The emphasis is on exploring each child’s creativity and the childcare sessions have a strong focus on Art and Craft activities, where pottery is the main activity. We often use nature and natural materials as the basis of our inspiration.

We work with school children and homeschooled children between the ages of 4 and 16 years. Local school collections are available.

Art Creations childcare inspires children to develop independence, confidence and individual skills according to their age and ability.

Pottery Classes

Sawdust firings using downdraft stovepipe kiln. Throwing on the wheel. Tile making. Sculptural pottery projects. Glazing, using dipped glazing oxides and underglaze.

Garden Inspiration and Exploration

Planting seeds, growing vegetables, fruit and flowers. Using the garden as inspiration & nature exploration. Willow & rush work.
