Nature Play & Clay CIC

A new project called Creative Garden

“Creating spaces for wildlife and a garden for exploration, education and inspiration ”

Our garden is evolving into a rich nature haven. There is a small wild flower meadow area, a living willow arch which is now ten years old. This willow arch provides a continuous wealth of sustainable raw materials for art projects and willow basket bowls. We aim to develop mosaic areas and to create handmade pottery tiles for use throughout the garden. This garden project is on-going and has been developing over a number of years in response to community feedback. Nature Play & Clay’s hope is to develop the garden into a workable, outdoor space. Our aim is to produce more art in the garden along with pottery firings, outdoor cooking and nature exploration – as a regular part of your creative time at Art Creations.

Garden Features to be added as the project progresses:
  • Outside black boards
  • White boards
  • A cave for cave painting
  • Raised beds for vegetable growing
  • Fruit bushes
  • Magic carpet ~ story telling and rest area
  • Shady den areas
  • Mosaic art works
  • A guttering construction for home made raft races

Come and help create a fun, interactive garden full of activities set in a back-drop of a nature-rich environment.  We want to create more areas of wild flowers, plants and habitats to encourage wildlife and insects.  Anyone with enthusiasm and interest in gardening is welcome.  If you have any knowledge on landscaping, plants or gardening, we would really appreciate your expertise.
